PEAS PULAO

for Garam Masala
Basmati Rice cooked with green peas and whole spices, this Matar Pulao pairs well with any curry, yogurt or dal.
Ingredients
Basmati rice - 2 cups
Shelled green peas - 1 cup
Onions - 4 (sliced)
Ghee - 1/3 cup
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp chopped
Mint leaves - 2 tbsp chopped
Chillies Spice Drop™ - 4 drops
Garam Masala Spice Drop™ - 10 drops
Cardamom Spice Drop™ - 3 drops
Salt - to taste.
Directions
Clean the rice and soak in water for 15 minutes. Drain and keep aside. Heat ghee in a thick bottom pan, fry onions till brown. Add rice, peas, salt and 4 – 4 ½ cups of water. Cover and cook on a slow flame.
When rice is half cooked, add the Spice Drop™ and mix gently. Cover & continue to cook till done.
Mix coriander and mint leaves. Serve hot garnished with fried cashew nuts and kismis.
